Hey there!
As mentioned in the other post, this episode wasn't just fun to put together, it was an awesome experience. Getting to work with a real-live photographer ( kylecassidy) and being in the company of the real-live actress trillian_stars and real-live archaeologist whafford was very, very cool.
And whafford was even good enough to post a "behind the scenes" entry over at his LJ so be sure to check it out and leave a note!

Plus, since we absolutely loved Kyle's work and there were several commenters who also enjoyed them, we've put some wallpaper sized pictures in our LJ gallery if you want to take a look over there.

If there are any other pictures from the episode that you'd like to see at their largest size, or have for a desktop, let us know and we'll put it up.
See you next episode! And thanks for reading.

My room's a mess right now - I've bought a new wardrobe yesterday at Ikea with leeloo3, and just started to empty the old one. Sort of lacking the motivation to continue right now. *g*

| Psychiatry is crazy! In the good way.... |
[Nov. 13th, 2009|08:35 pm] |
Artses: I PWN!!!! I finished camelotsolstice and happy_trekmas over the last two days. So now I have the whole weekend to chillax and revise at leisure. \o/
Gen Psych, Oh My!: So I'm back from my first week of suburban hospital psychiatry. Very interesting so far. :D My consultant is a rather stern Irish lady, and I suspect she'll expect me to do a lot of work T_T.
Next week, I'm going on a home visit with a psych nurse to assess a man with suspected paranoid schizophrenia. :O And after that, I'll be visiting the forensic psych department at the local prison. :O :O Hannibal Lecter, whut.
Surgery again, or not...: I've once again been pondering specialties . I've got to know some other surgery enthusiasts in my year. And omg, it's embarrassing how stereotypically rubbish and uninterested they are with patient communication skills. T_T
And you know what.... I love putting a smile on a patient's face when they can see that I have their best interests at heart. Every time I observe consultations, I review how I would conduct the interview differently (this sadly happens all too frequently – some doctors are totally dreadful!). Plus I've been complimented on my good communication skills before.
I like making people happy, and now I'm realising that surgery isn't necessarily the only way I'd be good at doing so. :D
The future is bright and full of possibilities. :D ♥
Sucky Doctor Is Sucky: Speaking of bad doctors.... Today I was sitting in with a GP as he reviewed this little two year old African girl brought in by her mother. The GP reviewed the girl's notes prior to the consultation, and saw that the mother had brought her little girl to the GP last winter and had been prescribed Calpol.
(For those not in the know: Calpol is an over-the-counter paracetamol preparation for children, and when prescribed by a doctor, it is free)
The doctor went on a huge rant about how this mother was obviously manipulating the system in order to get her free Calpol, to the detriment of the sick child who couldn't get medicine until the doctor saw her. I was like >.> but said nothing.
And then! The mother comes in with her sick girl, and it's blindingly obvious to me that the reason why she doesn't give any medicine to her girl before seeing the doc is because she believes she needs doctor approval first, in case she causes more harm than good.
And this GP was so abrupt with the mother, sharply asking her why she “didn't bother to give her girl any Calpol, she's been sick all night!” And the poor mother (who's English wasn't that great) was just looking placidly at the GP, waiting to be told what to do. After she'd gone, the GP turned to me and was all like “Can you see what irresponsible mothers I have to deal with!?”
I kept silent, but I was honestly rather taken aback by the whole incident. He seemed to completely miss the cultural variables that were at play here. *facepalm* |

I DO A MEME NOW! SO PAY ATTENTION.
angelis_ignis gave me some questionz:
i. YOUR FAVOURITE POKEMON OF ALL TIEMZ This is a tough question! But I've actually been thinking about it lately and I think it's Mew. His design is so cute yet so simple. AUGHJSEKFKDS SO CUTE. I also really like Flygon, Jolteon, Smoochum, and all the fire and dragon Pokémon. <3
ii. Which is your favourite character out of the entire Pokemon franchise? Also hard question! I've always really liked Misty from the anime. She has a distinct edge to her the other female characters don't have. I also like Maxie and Archie from the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games. My favorite team leaders. :D
iii. Other fandoms you're in? Digimon, Watchmen, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. <3
iv. Where would you like to stay, given the choice? As in vacation? Hmmm. I do like where I live but I would like vacationing in someplace warmer. I probably won't live here when I graduate college, so anywhere south/warmer would be nice. Pertaining to a different country/exotic place, any warm island is fine. ^^
v. Why did you pick electricenigma as your LJ username? My usual username for stuff is eclecticenigma. Eclectic because I like so many different things and my personality is so varied, and enigma because I usually tend to be a bit of mystery, even with my friends. However eclecticenigma was taken here on livejournal, so I replaced eclectic with electric. Sounds the same, and I do like electric Pokémon. :3
YAY! I've been waiting for a chance to do this meme from someone. <3 |

My nephew used my tablet and PHOTOSHOP to draw an awesome picture! We learned about the paint bucket tool, the paintbrush, the eraser, how to copy stuff, and even layers! I had to help pick colors but they turned out great

Tony wanted me to post this so he could get some feedback!
Heres what he has to say about the picture: "It's about a man screaming at the sky and the sky is raining rubber chickens, but only at him. And... he's in the city surrounded by his neighbors who are not home. Hope you like it!" -Tony Sergio, age 8 |

violateraindrop and its_citrine! Have a great day! *hugs* :D

Yesterday at work someone told me what a terrible first name I have. Why, thank you very much. He then claimed it was a joke... someone needs to work on his humorous skills, me thinks. o.O And, risking that you'll think that this dog does nothing else than sleep (he's a right cat, is he), Pityu. Sleeping.

Last but not least, some recent pics of... the Twilight Cast, Shia Labeouf, Matt Daaaaamon, Morena Baccarin, Alex O'Loughlin and Kristen Bell.

| Updates |
[Nov. 12th, 2009|09:37 am] |
Hey, folks. I've been mega busy, and I realize I haven't updated like, at all.
I'm so tired. I just want to sleep, and I need a fucking vacation. Life is too busy. Sometimes I think about breaking up with my boyfriend so I can get some time to myself, but that's retarded. Still, the fact remains that Pimpy needs a LOT of private time, and hasn't been getting it. The less I get, the more crabby I become.
Monday and Wednesday I have Japanese class after work, from 6:50 to 9:20 pm. Tuesday, I have therapy after work from 6pm to 7pm. So Monday through Wednesday are fucked for me. Thursday is kind of my day, but after Monday through Wednesday, I just want to tune out, and sometimes I don't get anything done.
Usually, every other Thursday, Gabe has a date with Christina, so I am able to get some quality slacker time in. I like to chat on teh intarwebs and draw, but that's all I've had lately. And let's face it, three hours is not enough time for me to make any drawings of any significant quality.
PLUS I did some secret arts for a secret project, and I have more to do before the end of the month, so even though I've been working on stuff, I can't show it to anyone yet ;__;
Here's what I've done so far in October, tho:
STORY: Alchemy RATING: X(XX) (got a little bit of fuckin' in it) WARNINGS: Preggo sex0r PAIRINGS: Raphael and my OC/fancharacter Ando Rei NOTES: This is a hetero, smutty TMNT fanfiction featuring my OC Ando Rei with Raphael. If you're not into that stuff, please don't read!
This story is set about a month after the incidents in The Apology. Now Raphael's trying to make up for lost time, but dealing with a pregnancy turns out to be harder than he thought.
PS. I never originally intended to post this, so there's all sorts of goofy problems with it, but if you have any feedback I'd love to hear it.
( Click to read. ) And if you wanna skip all that: ( here's a buncha sketches. ) Well, that's it for me. I'm laaame XD |

Saw this on a buddy's Facebook. I don't know why, but it makes me laugh to no end. Just coming down off a tail end of a headcold. Didn't last long, which is good. All of us up here are freaking out of H1N1, so I stayed home from work for 2 days and kept taking my temperature. Turns out, just a regular cold.
Edit: Also, want to know what's awesome? New Grim Reaper boxer shorts, Diet Coke (I like the taste...I know) and a curling iron. |

I didn't get the job after all, though they didn't give any reasons as to why exactly - so it was probably just my nose that didn't fit. Was moping around a little yesterday, but I recovered from that already. ;) Actually, today I had a nice if short 'getting to know you' talk in another temp agency with two potential jobs, so let's see what comes out of that. ;) Might have given them the impression that I'm very talkative (which I'm actually not), but it was entirely their fault. They encouraged me. :P
Finished reading Stardust and started with Anansi Boys (I'm taking what the library has to offer in english), by Neil Gaiman again. I'm still glad ireth_e kinda introduced me to his writings, even if completely by accident. *g*
Enough blabbering, some pics of the Star Trek cast. ;D

[Nov. 10th, 2009|11:05 pm] |
A drive-by posting cos we've been cut to dail-up till the 15th. Grrr! Just to let you all know that we're ok. The fires were under control by the time I found out about them. The school didn't send the kids home, so I guessed it couldn't have been too exciting. :~P Kids didn't know anything about it. But when I went to hang out some washing later, the sunlight had that orangey sort of bushfire glow, and I could see a thin layer of smoke over the sun (shafts of sunset-like beams coming from the sun) despite the blue sky. Not sure where that was from. :~( Another hot day forecast for tomorrow, and the rest of the week. Everything is going BROWN fast. *sigh*
*wishes she could move to Tassie.* |

| update from Japan, & silly photo |
[Nov. 10th, 2009|08:40 pm] |
Over the past three days I have been really sick with a fever and a hacking cough. What with the entire Japanese population panicking over swine flu, my supervisor urged me to go see a doctor, which resulted in my waiting for over 3 hours at a local clinic for my turn. The doctor did a nasal swab (those things felt surprisingly invasive!) and tested for the presence of the influenza virus.
Luckily, I don't have swine flu, but I feel as if I might as well have it, since I felt crappy anyway and it seems more justifiable to feel this crap if it was because of swine flu. Anyway because of this I have had to take three days off, and I'm really hoping these days are part of my sick-leave days rather than nen-kyuu (paid holidays), as I know it is common practice for Japanese workers to use their nen-kyuu for sick days. I'm prepared to fight tooth and nail if my nen-kyuu gets deducted!!
Right now it is lovely autumn time in Japan, with the air fresh and crisp, and trees starting to turn red-gold. I have been given a glimpse of how cold winter is going to be - some mornings have been really freezing, and getting up at 6am was such a daunting task. Since I was only allowed 20kg of baggage to Japan, I have no winter clothes whatsoever. Zero. Not even a hoodie. So I feel as though I'm on a race against time to buy winter gear. Unfortunately all the shops have just stocked on autumn fashion so everything is ridiculously expensive, and I haven't been quite able to bring myself to buy any. I dare say once winter really kicks in, survival will force me to spend money on a coat.
Over Halloween, the other alts and I each bought a kigurumi and dressed up in it to go clubbing in Tokyo (entrance fee is halved if you turn up in full-body costume). Due to a certain crazy American girl's idea, we decided to wear it on the train to Tokyo, which turned out to be possibly one of the most painfully embarrassing thing I've ever done so far. People stared, did double-takes, smiled to themselves, or downright laughed. It was mortifying. The worst moment was when I was left alone by the station cos the others needed to use the toilet. It was also when a new train had just arrived so hordes of people came rushing down the stairs, right where I was waiting for my friends! Ooooh god I still cringe when I think about the startled and confused looks I got.
But I had lots of fun and feel that my dignity has sufficiently returned for me to laugh about it now

Yep. Fecking Fire season.
My eldest (the one with Downs) just called to let me know they were being moved from Hurstbridge to Lower Plenty cos there's a FIRE at Hurstbridge.
o.O
Looked it up on the CFA incident summary page, and it's listed as a grassfire and under control. Nevertheless... a few days of 35*C and off we go again.
*HATES Summer*
ETA: ok, a siren just went past so I did a refresh on the incident summary... there's one in the next street! Right near my kids school! *wibbles*
*considers packing*
*refreshes page* Shit, it now says there are 3 firetrucks there.
I'm off to bring the birds in. :~(

Sometimes, my dreams can be so helpful, I wish if they had a physical form so I could kiss them~ XD;
I was stuck with launching the prologue of my comic project, cause I had trouble tying in some events together in the end of the story. I was in my room, trying to figure out how to display the events in a way that actually made sense, and typically fell asleep. That's when one of the main character in the story came and nudged me, pointed out some gaps I had in the plot and gave a suggestion how to fix them; his idea was so epic I think my jaw dropped...
I felt so brilliantly stupid- why didn't "I" think of that? XD
THANK YOU BRAIN! I knew you had it in you! Now I'm more pumped about drawing the project! I have the intro all set in my head, now I just need to put it on paper.
Weeee~ ♫ ♥ |

[Nov. 9th, 2009|06:23 pm] |
http://www.howtotrainyourdragon.com/ Watch the trailer. Movie looks like it could be super cute! I'm getting all sorts of Linguini vibes from the main kid, though, hmm. The viking chicks are too cute, really unclassically adorable which is great.
Also, please watch the trailer for this:
http://www.baidir.fr/ and get absolute GOOSEBUMPS. I guess it's going to be a series? I can't find much information on it, but I guess some guys from Gobelins is/was working on it. Sweeeeet. I'd like to know more
Also, I watched Monsters vs. Aliens with my nephew a couple days ago. While it really wasn't amazing, and the humans had wretched designs, I have to say that I really liked Susan's character development. She went from wanting nothing more in life than to be a blushing bride to suddenly wanting nothing more than to be a giant woman who fights robots. Like, it wasn't just a metaphor to be more self confident, she literally wanted to fight things and be huge and punch through steel. That was really fun And there was a bit in the movie where a couple at lovers lane sees a spaceship crash land, and I just loved how the roles were reversed in that scene. The girl was trying to get into the guys pants, and he was terrified of the spaceship and the girl wanted to go check it out. That was really great, I'm sure it went right over the heads of kids
SO. Is there anything amazing coming out any time soon? Princess And The Frog is looking better all the time, honestly! I really hope it does not suck I can already tell that Dr. Facillier is gonna be one of my fav disney villains
I love voodoo stuff in movies |

[Nov. 9th, 2009|01:22 pm] |
Recently, a friend asked me to order a KAT-TUN dvd for her from CDJapan.
Surprisingly, my credit card authorization was declined. This has happened before, so I thought it was nothing (once I crossed the purchase limit of my card, I thought I had done it again). However, when I tried re-ordering it, I kept receiving the same frigging note: authorization declined.
Wtf.
Well, then I borrowed my sister's card and made an account for it. However, even though her card is rather new and she never has card issues like I sometimes have.... authorization declined returned.
WTF.
I have an Electron and I've NEVER before had issues ordering with it from CDJapan DDDD:
I think I migh try purchasing something from them after a month or so, maybe this is just temporary.
Has anyone faced similar difficulties lately when shopping stuff with Visa Electron?
I need a real Visa ;__; |

| You know what I've done this weekend? |
[Nov. 8th, 2009|10:13 pm] |
Besides dancing to 2pm and Beast at Maria's workplace (look out for it, K.O dancing in public video to a video hosting site near you!)? Today I went to the cemetery, I love it. It's one of those things I tell people and I always get, "you're so weird!" but it's really not! I don't think of it as some spoookey place where ghosts chill, it's peaceful. I like looking at headstones and wondering what the people were like. So I visited my grandfathers grave for the first time with my grandmother, aunt, great aunt and mom. We walked around a lot and my grandmother would always kiss her hands then touch anything religious... especially if it was near some Italian person's grave. haha
My haul this week are NYX round lipsticks. It has super awesome reviews and I'm excited to try it out, watch out for a swatch+review post once I get them! OOh and my Etude bb cream should be arriving this week (hopefully). All I can think about when I see Etude now is this:
(yea we wont see a scene like this in YB but one can hope) Okay that's a lie, I actually think of their newest CF but I just remembered this one and I think I like it more!
Oh and I spent a good time of my day (okay, not that long) watching Chansung videos on YT (needs moar!) and LJ searching for gifs.
Oh and I had always wanted to do an assignment on a fashion ad and now I finally have a chance. Except I'm doubting my writing skills again. REMEMBER YOUR ANTHRO ESSAYS, YOU DID SO WELL YOU CAN DO IT AGAIN!
 werk it bb.
p.s, my heart is beating for the 10th. Excited guys! I'm even considering buying the CD! |

And another weekend over. Didn't do much, but we had some family over this afternoon, for a late celebration of my nephew's birthday. I ate a lot and probably could roll around on the floor without problems - if I wanted. 'twas yummy. *g* Yeah, that was exciting. ;D Thanks to takayajd who provided me with the first season I'll most likely start watching Legend of the Seeker later on (I kept missing it on TV). Unless I rather feel like continuing my second rewatch of Veronica Mars. That show doesn't get old (yet). Ah, fandom life. *g* So, have some Morgana graphics - Avatar and signature. ;D ( click )
Plus random and mostly smallish shoots - our favourite Hobbits, Jared Leto, James McAvoy, Rachel Weisz, Heath Ledger, Cate Blanchett, Hugh Dancy, Keira Knightley, George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
